The digital-video presentation brings on two separate nights of highlights from the original Banff Center in the Canadian Rockies, annual November celebration of “mountain culture” that brings nature escapes and outdoor-sports cinema, made by both professionals and gifted amateurs.
This year’s short and feature offerings (a different lineup each night) focus on the cutting edge of snowkiting and “speedflying.” Tomorrow night, there’s even has a cute music-video about a Scandinavian “ski-punk” rock band named Black-Eyed Snakes on a cross-country tour.
Films begin at 7:30 p.m. each night, with a reception starting an hour earlier. The event also features “green” raffle prizes, refreshments, Red Bull, and many local outdoor-adventure clubs in the lobby. Tickets range from $25 to $35.
