Red Bull Ragnarok 2010

On February 3, 2010, in News, featured, by Dag

15th – 18th April 2010 in Haugastøl, Norway
The name “Ragnarok” stems from an incident in Norse mythology, describing the last battle between the good and evil Gods, where only the heroes of the battlefield survive.
Red Bull Ragnarok imitates this myth in the respect that only a mere few snow-kite heroes will succeed. Endurance is paramount, and only the toughest riders will make it to the finish line. Freestylers will be favored by having the possibility to overcome some obstacles in order to shorten the track.

Format
The track will be 6 rounds of approximately 30 minutes each, stretching from 10-20km.
After each round, if not given up, a certain percentage will be eliminated. The riders will have to focus on staying in the lead as well as saving enough power to be able to endure the physical strain all the way to the last run.

Categories
To make it simple, the only categories are split between snowboard and skis.
(No age-, male- or female-classes). Best youngster (under 18) and best female will receive a special price, though.

Prices
40 000 NOK

Fees
400 NOK (about 50 Euros) will cover your start bib, transportation to the contest area and the price ceremony BBQ.

Registration
Please sign up in the registration form on Ragnarok homepage left-side.
Registration will be open until 10th of April.
