VAKE 2010 was held in late April but worth having it posted better late then never to have a look at the result and reviews. The event was finished with two out of three legs. The first leg was demanding and for some of the contestants the hardest they had ever experienced. On Friday sleet and strong wind chased the contestants to their tents. Saturday was a marvelous day with sun and great wind. The winning team, X-Greenland 2010 spent only 3 hours and 45 minutes, including a 30 minutes rest at Bergebyvannet on the second leg.. Sundays third leg was canceled as the forecast said no wind at all.

The Liquid Image Summit Series HD is a snow goggle with an integrated HD digital camera. The goggle contains a wide angle 159 degree (full field of view) lens to capture all the action while skiing, boarding, sledding or snowmobiling. The hands free unit has a 5.0 MP (2560 x 1920) camera mode and a video mode that records HD720P video (1280×720) at a rate up to 30 frames per second with audio.

The Summit Series HD Video Camera Snow Goggle is easy to operate. There is a button for On/Off/Mode and another button for the shutter. To record a photo or a video, simply turn on the camera, choose the mode, then press the shutter button. LED lights inside the goggle indicate the mode to the user. Large side buttons along the right side of the frame allow for greater dexterity while wearing gloves.

The Summit Series HD can hold a Micro SD/SDHC Card up to 32 GB. With the use of a micro SD/SDHC card, the camera is capable of recording thousands of photos or hours of HD video. Files may be downloaded to a computer through the High Speed USB/RCA cable provided, or through a Micro SD/SDHC card. The Camera operates on an internal rechargeable Lithium Battery. Estimated battery performance is 2 hours of video.

The concept of integrating the camera into the sports equipment allows the user to travel with fewer items and to keep their hands free while performing sports activities. The integrated camera records a view similar to what is seen, allowing the user to share their experience with other people, and to enjoy their activities to a greater extent because they concentrate less on holding and operating the camera

The Access XT is the ultimate entry level to intermediate snow kite. It has been designed for riders looking for an incredibly versatile and easy kite to ride for freeriding and backcountry exploring.

What’s important for an entry level kite is excellent stability, easy to control constant power and safety. Thanks to the Access XT’s design riders are able to concentrate on their riding technique with confidence.

From your first lessons on the snow to learning how to jump, backcountry riding and unhooked freestyling, the Access XT does it all!

Our design team and Pro riders always have a 4m or 6m with them when going backcountry as their “get out of jail card free” high wind kite.

The Access XT is constructed from top quality materials and features a double pulley speed-system, utilising the latest high spec Ronstan Orbit Block Series 20 pulleys. We have also added four unique “blow out valves” to the under surface to allow the internal volume of air to be released when the kite is crashed into the ground.

For 2011 the Access XT, Frenzy and Manta M3 all fly with the same bar, the new Contact-Snow Control System.

Enjoy the white wilderness.

The Manta M3 is the ultimate kite for any experienced kiter. It is still top of the line but with more power and faster handling making it even more fun to ride and easier to climb terrain.

The Manta M3 has a high lift profile that produces more power than previous incarnations; this means you can get away with using a smaller size kite.

The bridle layout has increased the Manta M3’s turn speed which helps create more power and better maneuverability.

The Manta M3 is constructed from top quality materials and features a double pulley speed-system, utilising the latest high spec Ronstan Orbit Block Series 20 pulleys.

For 2011 everything has been improved. The Frenzy has been through a complete redesign, incorporating new technologies from Ozone’s world leading paraglider designs.

The new Frenzy incorporates a partially closed leading edge with mesh openings for ultimate performance, clean air intake and extra strength. A newly developed diagonal rib configuration helps optimize bridle line layout; this has enabled us to achieve a 28% reduction in line drag and a more direct feel.

An increased number of cells (and reduced cell width) allow more control of the upper and lower surfaces. More cells also help reduce the amount of billowing (ballooning) of the cells, resulting in cleaner surfaces and better overall performance.

The “Link” line is a new addition this year to the Frenzy. This line connects both sides of the Speed System together to maintain the correct distance between both sides of the kite. This “Link” line therefore controls the tension transmitted through the kite which aids stability.

These improvements add to the performance of the kite in all aspects; faster smoother direct handling, more power produced throughout the speed range, better stability and more de-power than ever before.

The Frenzy is constructed from top quality materials and features a double pulley speed-system, utilising the latest high spec Ronstan Orbit Block Series 20 pulleys. We have also added 3 unique “blow out valves” to the under surface to allow the internal volume of air to be released when the kite is crashed into the ground.

For 2011 the Frenzy, Access XT, and Manta M3 all fly with the same bar, the new Contact-Snow Control System.
